Terms and Conditions

• The garment is for your personal use only and must remain in your possession and control throughout the hire period.
  
• Garments must not be altered, cut, or modified in any way without prior written approval from Mama Rentals.
  

Customers must take reasonable care of garments, including:

• Avoiding fake tan, heavy perfume, and products that may stain fabrics.
  
• Avoiding rough or dirty surfaces (grass, rocks, dust, pollen, etc.).
  
• Holding long hems while walking to prevent dragging and soiling.

Fake tan: Mama Rentals has a no fake tan policy. If you choose to use tanning products against our advice, you remain liable for any permanent staining even if precautions were taken.

Customers must follow all Garment Care Instructions provided.

• Customers are not required to clean garments before returning them. Mama Rentals will professionally clean all items using eco-friendly, water-based methods.
  

Customers are expected to:

• Dust off sand, dirt, and remove prickles or burrs.
  
• Air-dry garments before returning if wet, to prevent mould in transit.
  
• Reasonable wear and tear (loose threads, minor marks) is accepted.

Charges will apply for:

• Significant staining or heavy soiling (e.g. fake tan, mud, wine).
  
• Large amounts of prickles/burrs requiring excessive hand-cleaning.
  
• Specialist cleaning required beyond our normal process.
  
• Damage rendering the garment unfit for future hire, up to 150% of the RRP.

• Rental periods are 2, 4, 8 or 14 days, as selected at booking. The first day is the delivery date (per AusPost scan) or pickup date. The last day is the due return date.
  
• Garments must be lodged over the counter at an Australia Post outlet before 4pm on the due return date. A lodgement receipt must be obtained.
  
• Street-side post boxes must not be used unless explicitly advised by Mama Rentals. Delays or lost tracking from post box lodgements (without authorisation) are the customer’s responsibility.
  
• For local pickups/drop-offs, garments must be returned within the same timeframe, in the provided garment bag.
  
• Late fees: 20% of the rental cost per day, capped at 150% of the RRP, unless otherwise agreed.
  
• If late fees are unpaid, Mama Rentals may:
  
  - Request bank transfer, or
  
  - Charge the card on file (plus a 3% surcharge), or
  
  - Engage debt collection services, with recovery costs payable by the customer.
  
  
• Rentals more than 2 weeks late will be deemed unreturned.
  

• Try On bookings are not hire bookings and delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
  
• Try On garments are shipped one business day prior to the selected date.
  
• The Try On period is 24 hours from delivery (per AusPost scan). Garments must be returned unworn and in original condition by 4pm the following business day.
  
• Signs of wear (stains, odour, perfume, body marks) will result in a full 4-day hire charge. Mama Rentals has full discretion in determining garment condition.
  
• Only the Try On fee of the garment hired (if any) will be refunded if the customer proceeds with a 4+ day hire of the same dress within 3 days of Try On return.
  
• Try Ons are not refundable for minor imperfections, as garments are pre-loved.

• Customers may add one Backup Dress per order at a 60% discount off the rental price.
  
• Both dresses will be shipped together.
  
• Only one dress may be worn. The other must be returned unworn with all tags intact.
  
• If both dresses are worn, the full rental price will be charged for each.
  
• If more than two dresses are ordered, the Backup Dress discount code will only apply to one dress.
  
  

• Customers must immediately notify Mama Rentals of any damage or stains.
  
• If a garment is returned damaged but repairable, the customer will be charged the repair cost.
  
• If a garment is returned too damaged for repair, or unfit for future hire, the customer will be charged up to 150% of the RRP.
  
• If a garment is lost or never returned, the customer will be charged 150% of the RRP.
  
• Damage Protection Insurance is available at checkout for additional peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to a capped amount depending on order value. Insurance does not cover loss, theft, or failure to return.

• Most orders are shipped via Australia Post Express to ensure timely delivery.
  
• Last-minute orders (bookings placed less than 3 full business days before the hire date) are always shipped via Express Post.
  
• Mama Rentals dispatches early where the situation allows. Early dispatch may not be possible for last-minute bookings or back-to-back reservations.
  
• Once shipped, delivery times are the responsibility of Australia Post. Mama Rentals is not liable for postal delays, non-delivery, or redirection issues.
  
• Customers are responsible for providing a secure delivery address.
  
• Multiple delivery dates within one order will be treated as separate orders, and additional shipping fees will apply.

• Mama Rentals reserves the right to cancel any order where the garment is unavailable. Customers will be notified and offered either an alternative or a full refund.
  
• Orders placed less than 3 full business days before delivery are considered last-minute orders. Delivery is not guaranteed for rural areas, WA, or NT customers.
  

If Mama Rentals believes a last-minute order is unlikely to arrive in time, the customer will be contacted and offered two options:

• Accept the risk: Mama Rentals will ship the order, but if delivery is late the customer will receive a store credit minus shipping fees (calculated by weight).
  
• Decline the risk: Mama Rentals will not ship the order, and the customer will receive a full store credit (no expiry date).
  
  Refunds are not available on last-minute orders.

• A $0.50 Card Authorisation Fee applies to all orders. This replaces a traditional bond and securely stores the customer’s payment method via a 3rd party app. 
  
• If garments are returned late, lost, or damaged, charges will be applied to the card on file, plus a 3% card surcharge.
  
• Mama Rentals may issue an invoice for payment via bank transfer before charging the card.
  
• Customers waive the right to dispute authorised charges if Terms & Conditions are breached.

All garments are pre-loved and may show minor imperfections. Refunds will not be issued for such imperfections.

Customers accept full responsibility for safekeeping of garments during the rental period. 

Mama Rentals is not liable for:

• Delays caused by postal services.
• Indirect or consequential loss (e.g. missed events, photoshoots).

By using the site, customers agree to these Terms & Conditions. Unpaid fees may be pursued through legal or debt collection channels, with recovery costs payable by the customer.
