When the lovely Dubbo photographer Amy from Amy Allen Creative Co contacted me about hiring a dress for an elopement session for the gorgeous bride and groom Monique and James, she told me she wanted something casual and boho, and she had her eyes set on the Fillyboo Charm Your Way gown. With its gorgeous embellished sleeves, stunning floral embroideries and flattering V neckline, it's not hard to see why! While the Charm Your Way gown is a bump friendly piece, it is perfect for non-maternity too, so I agreed immediately, and felt super excited to see it on a beautiful blushing bride, in a serene country setting in Dubbo.
Once we decided on the gown, Amy quickly worked her magic and lined up a team of beautiful local small businesses in Dubbo to help her pull the elopement together, in record time.

While eloping might not be the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind, it is certainly becoming more and more popular during this pandemic. it is so special in so many ways, but here are a few reasons I can think of why:
1. You get to spend quality time with and focus on the person you are marrying. At weddings you may be together, however your mind will be scattered around 1000 difference places - family members, guests and all the events that are set to unfold will all take up your mind space. Eloping puts you in a place where you get to be totally present with the one you love. They are the reason you are doing this, so let it be all about you two.
2. You get to do whatever you want. Eloping gives you free reign to make your own traditions - want to go for a hike before your wedding? Go for a surf? Ditch the traditional white gown and go for something a bit more.. you? You can. It allows you to make choices and prioritise what matters most to your heart on one of the most important days. Soak up every second you have with the one you adore, doing what you love.
3. The money you saved by having an elopement instead of a full blown wedding will lend it self nicely for an epic honeymoon or towards a house, a business venture or anything you'd like to invest your money in. A less expensive elopement doesn't mean a less beautiful or special one.
